Jessica Griggs - HR internship

This is my final week of my internship here at the hospital. I have learned so much in such a short amount of time! I have put the finishing touches on my paper and have given a copy of it to both the HR Director as well as the CEO. Hopefully my suggestions for improvement of hiring new nurses will be implemented soon. I actually already know one nurse supervisor has used my interview on a nurse applicant! That gives me hope. I hope that all the work I have done here helps the hospital to reduce costs, reduce turnover, and hire a more competent nursing staff.

This week I have worked on tying up loose ends here at the hospital. The majority of my numerous projects have been completed and I feel more appreciated than ever. I have gathered the things I need to complete my practicum at school. I wrote up a critique of my experience here at the hospital, but have found that I have enjoyed the majority of the tasks I have done here and have done most of them quite well.

My experiences have been extremely rewarding and now I am quite sure the Human Resources is the right tract for me. I thoroughly enjoy the chaotic pace of HR as well as the abundance of things to do. I now know that, once employed in this field, I will never be bored for lack of things to do! There are always many many projects that can be worked on and many people that will always need your help.

I have learned so much and I hope that those of you following my postings have learned a bit from my experiences as well! Enjoy the rest of your summer!
