	Personnel Officer I-III

	The Maryland Department of Budget and Management is seeking
qualified applicants for Personnel Officer I/II/III (PO).  The Personnel
Officer (PO) series includes the full performance or advanced level work
in the administration of State HR programs.  Employees may specialize in
a specific HR management functional area such as employment services,
classification and compensation, employee-employer relations, or may
function as an HR generalist. 

	Candidates must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited
four-year college or university plus 2-3 years of professional HR
experience (or equivalent combination) in the areas of: job analysis,
job evaluation, salary administration, employee recruitment and
selection, employer-employee relations, personnel program evaluation, or
personnel policy formulation.

	The salary range for PO's is $34,870 - $63,021 (as of July 1,
2006).  Please note that only one application should be submitted for
all levels (with announcement number 06-2245-001 clearly indicated) and
applicants will be evaluated based on each level.  For a copy of the
