Hi everyone,
We've got two events coming up in the next month from the game development program at UB. The first is an exhibition of the SDE program's game design senior projects.

Thursday, May 14th, students will present the results of two semesters of team-based effort creating orginal videogames in the SDE program's senior capstone course.

Join us in the William H Thumel Sr. Business Center (11 W. Mount Royal Ave) atrium where games will be set up to play (or watch) on large screens and projectors throughout the room, and developers will be available to answer questions. There will also be a video loop of game highlights and information about the creation process showing in the auditorium.

Exhibition: 7-9pm (snacks provided, come and go as you like)

-----------------------------

The second event (which is actually sooner, but I wanted to highlight the capstone projects), is a boardgame social event in our library on Friday, May 8th. We have a sizable collection of board and vintage videogames in the Langsdale Library, so we would like to take the opportunity to invite students and the community to make use of the board games.

It will be from 6-10pm, come as you like, and bring a snack or drink to share. You can also bring any games you like, though we'll have plenty, and I'm sure people will be available to teach games you've been interested in trying.

The library is on the 3rd floor of the Learning Commons, the building behind the Edgar Allen Poe statue on the UB main square (1420 N Charles St). Let me know if you're thinking about coming! It will be after hours, so the door will be locked, but we will post the number for the phone inside so we can come let you in.

Any questions about either of these, email me [log in to unmask]

See you there!

- Aaron
