OPM will be hiring GS-9 Master’s level students as the Human Resources Consulting Program expands. I passed this on to one of the managers who will be doing a lot of the recruiting. I hope something comes of it.

recruiting
Hi Jason,
Brigitte mentioned that you will be recruiting GS-9 Master’s level students in the upcoming year for HRCP. She said that you will be looking for generalists, but will also be attending SIOP trying to attract some I/O talent. If you want to stay local, I thought it would be beneficial to you, and my alma mater, to mention that the only Master’s Level I/O program in Maryland is the University of Baltimore. I graduated with my Master’s in Applied Psychology (I/O Track) from UB. Other schools, like U of MD and GW, offer I/O programs, but only for PhDs. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at UB and I think the staff does a wonderful job in preparing students for the real world with numerous hands on projects and oral presentations built into classes. I am passing on the Applied Psychology website (http://www.ubalt.edu/dapqm/grad.htm) and the name, email and phone number of the head of the program – Dr. Tom Mitchell (410-837-5348, [log in to unmask]) if you want to follow up with him. Mention my name as we still stay in contact. Dr. Mitchell actively looks for career opportunities for students and he would jump at the chance to send some UB grads to OPM.
Thanks Jason. Let me know if you have any questions.
Matt
