GET YOUR RESUME REVIEWED BY OTHER
MEMBERS. . .
We have had some requests to
facilitate members being able to review and provide feedback
on each others resumes and/or cover letters.
To
try this out we have setup a new discussion forum. Here is the
process to make this work:
1)
Add your resume and/cover letter to profile on I/O
Careers
2)
Under the CATEGORY: RESUME REVIEW in the Discussion Forum area
click ADD NEW TOPIC.
3)
For the Subject enter: RESUME FEEDBACK REQUEST - YOUR
NAME.
4)
For the Message let everyone know what kind of feedback you
are looking for and any background information you think would
be helpful. Also, please include the following reminder in the
message section:
"You can click on my name at the
top left of this posting to find my I/O Careers online profile
that includes a copy of my cover letter, and
resume."
5)
Make sure the checkbox in your profile allows others to view
your resume and/or cover letter.
6)
Members will then click on the persons name at the top of the
posting to review their profile and then see their
resume.
7)
Members then can view each person who is looking for feedback
when they see all the TOPICS under the CATEGORY: RESUME
REVIEW. They can provide feedback for each member by adding a
REPLY to any request for feedback.
