The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, under the leadership of
Desmond Runyan, a pediatrician, and Stephanie Block, a psychologist, is
interested in understanding the views of different groups of involved
professionals and the public
(pediatricians, attorneys, judges, social workers, child abuse experts,
parents, etc.) about what forms of discipline are acceptable BY AGE OF
THE CHILD.

E.g., if spanking with the hand on the buttocks is okay, is there an age
at which spanking is not yet okay? Questions such as these will allow
them to better examine what is and what is not considered too harsh or
even child abuse for the youngest children.

Therefore, to help them I would like to invite you to take approximately
10 MINUTES to follow the link below and answer (anonymously) a short
questionnaire they are anxious to have Attorneys complete.

They've promised to summarize findings for a report back to this
listserv.

Your help is much appreciated. As you will see in the survey, this
effort has been approved by the IRB at UNC.

I greatly appreciate your help in furthering their research.
