Lead Organizational Effectiveness Consultant 
Pepco Holdings, Inc. (PHI) is one of the largest electricity delivery and 
natural gas companies in the mid-Atlantic region. More than 1.8 million 
customers in Washington D.C., Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and depend on PHI 
for their electricity and natural gas needs. 


We are seeking a Lead Organizational Effectiveness Consultant to join the staff 
at our Washington, DC location. In this role, you will provide executive and 
management level change management consulting and coaching services regarding 
the enhancement of the organization's effectiveness at strategic and tactical 
levels. 


Required: 
Master’s degree in human resource management or a related field OR the 
equivalent combination of formal education, training and/or experience. 

Experience demonstrating extensive knowledge in human resources, change 
management, and/or leadership development. 

Extensive experience demonstrating skill providing consulting services to 
include: 

- utilizing a consulting model to assess organizational needs, design, and 
implement solutions; 

- facilitating, coaching, mentoring, and/or team building; 
- developing and implementing performance, process and/or quality improvement 
tools; and, 

- coaching/consulting to individuals at all levels including Executive Senior 
Management and Supervisory levels. 

Experience demonstrating skill designing, developing, implementing, facilitating 
and evaluating organization wide initiatives. 

Experience demonstrating skill partnering with and supporting other HR 
disciplines. 

Experience demonstrating skill managing/partnering with outside consultants. 
Experience demonstrating skill developing, analyzing and incorporating best 
practice research into initiatives. 

Experience demonstrating skill managing, leading, and coordinating complex, 
long-term projects. 

Experience demonstrating skill analyzing, measuring, monitoring and reporting 
performance indicators and recommending interventions based on analysis. 

Experience demonstrating skill collecting, analyzing, measuring, and monitoring 
data to include performing cost benefit analyses such as ROI and return on human 
capital. 

Experience demonstrating skill designing and delivering presentations. 
Experience demonstrating skill preparing written reports (for example, executive 
summaries, charters, statements of work, research reports). 

Experience demonstrating skill working and partnering with a diverse workforce. 
Experience demonstrating skill using PC-based word processing, spreadsheet, 
database, presentation, internet, and email software. 

Ability and willingness to work extended and nonstandard hours as required. 
Ability and willingness to travel to various PHI company work locations as 
required. 

Must possess current ProSi Certification or equivalent. 
Must possess Birkman Certification. 
Must possess a valid driver's license. 
Must successfully pass the Criminal History Records Check. 

Preferred: 
Experience demonstrating skill facilitating process design/redesign initiatives 
(for example, leading process mapping sessions, and identifying/managing 
change). 

Experience working in a functional operational area (for example, engineering, 
manufacturing, hospitality, utility) and/or using knowledge of a functional area 
to address operational issues. 

Experience demonstrating skill creating and/or administering web-based surveys. 
Experience demonstrating skill using Visio (for example, to prepare process 
maps).
