Reporting to the VP of Global HR, this person will lead the HR function for a business unit of over 2500 employees across 30 plants. The Director will be part of the Global HR leadership team in a culture where the CEO believes HR is a strategic weapon to drive culture. This position will partner with the General Managers as a member of the business unit lead teams to formulate an HR strategy to support the key BU initiatives. In addition, this position will have accountability for hiring A+ talent driving communications through all levels of the organization and standardizing HR best practices across the businesses. The successful candidate will work with all levels of the organization from plant personnel to corporate officers. They must also be able to operate at a strategic level but have a passion for building trust at all levels of the organization, as well as understanding and managing the details of the critical HR accountabilities. They must be able to achieve results in a culture that values process discipline and data driven decision-making. The Director of Human Resources will be widely recognized as a committed and passionate business leader throughout the organization, who ensures collaboration and alignment between all functions. He/She will have experience in developing highly effective human resources processes and value-added solutions in support of high performing, results-oriented teams. He/She will be able to manage and execute multiple concurrent projects, present information effectively, and establish effective/collaborative relationships with other colleagues throughout the organization. The Director of Human Resources will also possess personal and professional integrity, strong moral character, have the strength of their convictions, exceptional communication and presentation skills, as well as an excellent professional presence. Desired Skills and Experience * BA/BS degree in HR or related field required; MBA/Advanced degree a plus; SPHR preferred * 10+ years of strong, proactive and results-oriented HR Leadershi /Management experience in a multi-site manufacturing oriented business * 3+ years as an HR Leader in a Corporate setting * Experience in both Union (negotiations) and Non-Union (prevention) environments * Demonstrated track record of effectively managing and developing a high performing remote staff * Proven ability to challenge, motivate and partner with an executive leadership team to foster innovation and lead change in an atmosphere of mutual respect * HR experience partnering with a business unit line manager * Experience in identifying and effectively utilizing people-related metrics to improve business performance.
