And, I know Dr. Liu very very well. She and I just finished up a chapter for Oxford Research Encyclopedia of Psychology...so if Hofstra interests you, please let me know so I can put in a great word for you directly to Dr. Liu!

Subject: The Ph.D. Program in Applied Organizational Psychology, Hofstra University

Dear Dr. Thomas Mitchell,
This is an effort to recruit high quality students for the Ph.D. Program in Applied Organizational Psychology at Hofstra University. I would appreciate it if you could forward this message to your Master's students who might be interested. For Fall 2017 admission, the application deadline is February 1st, 2017.

There are some unique features of our doctoral program. First, we accept students who have already had a Master's degree in Industrial/Organizational psychology, or a related discipline, including MBAs. We do not accept students who apply directly from their undergraduate program. Second, under advisement, we allow Master's students to transfer previous graduate credits into the Ph.D. curriculum, presenting a unique opportunity for students to lessen their financial and time burdens. Third, given our geographic location (25 miles east of Manhattan) and our affiliations with various private and public organizations, we will arrange internships in I/O psychology for students who wish to work part-time while pursuing their Ph.D. at Hofstra University. In addition to the compensation available for part-time work, Hofstra University also provides each incoming Ph.D. student with tuition remission support of $6,000 for three consecutive years, with a total amount of $18,000.

For general inquiries, students are encouraged contact the Ph.D. Program Director, Dr. Cong Liu at 516-463-6298, or via email: [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>
