Hi all,

This semester we have three big events happing in the Simulation and Digital Entertainment program.

The first is our regular Board Game Night on Friday, September 29th, from 6-10pm.  It will be held in the lobby of the Learning Commons ([log in to unmask],-76.6164365,18.44z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x89c804957751d72d:0xecf8e0d3e01e2f2f!8m2!3d39.3062676!4d-76.6172257">map).  You'll see us through the big windows on the first floor as you arrive.  There is paid parking at the [log in to unmask],-76.6200834,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x89c804961ca6c1b5:0x7625071756a843fa!8m2!3d39.3030598!4d-76.6178947">1111 Maryland Ave. garage,  but at that time of day there should be some free parking in the surrounding blocks.

It's in a large space with lots of tables to spread out. We'll have the place primarily to ourselves.

Bring your favorite games or play ours. We've got multiple copies of Lost Cities, Bohnanza, Dominion, Ascension, 7 Wonders, Settlers of Catan, Pandemic and Carcassonne if you want to learn something new. We also have Neuroshima Hex, Last Night on Earth, World War IV, Liars Dice, Alien Autopsy, Winkers, Rubics Race, Gamblers, Pictionary, Balderdash.... and quite a few others.

This event is for anyone: students, non-students, members, non-members, etc.  Please bring snacks and/or drinks to share!

The second event is our Contemporary and Vintage Videogame Event on Thursday, November 30th, from 6-10pm.  We'll have around ten large LCD screens each connected to a game system, from the early 80s to current systems.  Lots of multiplayer games.  It will be in the same area as the Board Game Night.

Finally, our Senior Capstone Videogame Project Exhibition will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 12th.  It will be held in conjunction with an exhibition next door of experimental games.  Mark your calendars—more details will come later.

I hope to see you at some or all of these!

- Aaron
