During this week of the internship, I received my organization’s email address and login for Workday to access information on the State’s employees. Workday is a human capital management software used by the State of Maryland to list, track, and update the pin numbers (job position number) of each the employees of the state.
I learned how the jobs within the State of Maryland are divided into different classifications such as Accounting or Human Services. Where each job has different levels associated with it including:

·      Trainee (close supervision)

·      Intermediate (close/ general supervision)

·      Full performer (general supervision)

·      Lead

·      Supervisor

·      Manager

·      Director
We also broke down the major components of the study memorandum, which is the write up of the reclassification decision of the assigned HR Analyst. The major components of study memorandum include both the job analysis and job evaluation.
