Per your request, I have placed the position description below and
attached our benefits package to this e-mail.  Officially, the salary
range is from $60,000 on up but that is based on experience.  We will
consider candidates outside of this salary, they would have to bring a
lot of "added-value" to the table e.g. if we didn't have to send this
candidate to training because they already possess the necessary
industry skill, then that would allow us to be more flexible with the
salary range.  Trust me when I say that this is a very successful, yet

HR Generalist (Woodbine, MD)

Shield Consulting Solutions, Inc., a veteran-owned small business who
specializes in IT government contracting, is currently seeking a Human
Resources Generalist to work at their Corporate Headquarters  in
Woodbine, Maryland.  

The selected candidate will be working in a small office of 3-4 internal
employees and perform various HR related functions for a contracting
team of about 30 employees.  The tasks of this position will include,
but not limited to, the following:

*	Providing guidance regarding legal requirements and government
reporting regulations affecting human resources functions

	*	Ensuring that HR policies, procedures, and reporting are
compliant with federal government standards

*	Remaining current with new HR regulations and policies changes
by attending both education and training seminars 
*	Responding to employee and business associate inquiries
regarding our policies, procedures, and programs
*	Assisting with monitoring due dates for employee reviews,
reporting requirements, benefit administration, etc.
*	Preparing reports and updating  schedules using Microsoft Excel
*	Communicating with current employees regarding all human
resource related issues
*	Assisting with recruiting activities to including: database
searches, Internet searches, contacting potential candidates, assist
with career fairs, and assisting with branding and marketing efforts
*	Supporting our corporate office with telephone coverage, as
needed  
*	Promoting the successful operations of our company through
various assorted responsibilities 

 

To be considered for this position, a candidate must meet most, if not
all, of the following requirements:

*	A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field, is
highly preferred but not required
*	A minimum of three years of previous experience as a Human
Resources professional
*	Previous experience working with early-career to executive-level
employees, customers, and decision-makers
*	A strong command of the English language with an emphasis in
both oral and written communication methods
*	Previous experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
*	Previous experience implementing a Human Resources Information
Systems (HRIS), is highly preferred but not required
*	Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in
Human Resources (SPHR) certifications are highly preferred but not
required
*	Knowledge of government contracting and DCAA rules and
regulations is also helpful
