Good Afternoon,

My name is Becca Nusbaum, and I wanted to update everyone with what my job
duties are for the summer semester. More than likely, many of the projects I
am working on will continue through the fall and possibly winter.
Nevertheless, I have numerous daily functions in addition to these projects.
Some of these are employment, recruiting, and spring and fall performance
review support. Furthermore, I maintain many databases for tracking
and completing reports and for performing analyses. Right now, much of my
time is focused on recruiting support and projects.

Two of my main projects for the summer are co-leading the department's
internship program and working on our support staff reclassification team.
The internship duties encompass numerous aspects, such as planning intern
events and presentations. I also provided a training session today for the
intern's supervisors and what they can do to make the internship meaningful
and how to provide proper feedback. For the reclassification team, I have
led and been a part of many focus groups, which will serve as a source of
information, to determine if we need to update job descriptions or if we
need to change the classification ladders and update the job descriptions
for the entire lab. This project will last for the remainder of the year and
could possibly go into 2011.

I will keep all of you posted on my progress throughout the summer. Please
