Director of Human Resources (Baltimore, MD) [HeaSul]
Baltimore-based start-up is looking for an exceptional Human Resources professional to lead our Human Resources function. In this role, you will deliver both strategic and tactical HR support to all employees and managers. This position is responsible for all aspects of the human resources function Including recruitment, hiring, training, compensation, promotion, career development, discipline and termination. The HR Manager provides practical, consistent, and proactive support, direction and advice to employees and other managers on HR procedure, policy, best practice, and employment benefits.
The perfect candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to lead through example and the desire to grow with us. You must be a "roll-up-the-sleeves" leader and team member who will guide us through our corporate evolution. Key Responsibilities
*        Develop recruiting programs to identify, attract and source highly qualified candidates.
*        Determine and recommend employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employment relationship and promote a high level of employee morale.
*        Strategize with senior leaders to facilitate targeted initiatives to increase employee engagement.
*        Provide counsel to employees, managers and leadership team on employment laws and regulations as well as internal procedures and policies.
*        Design, develop and effectively communicate all HR practices and programs and review and revise policies to comply with changing or new regulations or legislation.
*        Assist in employee relations matters through conflict management. Provide HR expertise in resolution of employee concerns/issues and resolve employee investigations.
*        Review all existing programs, processes and initiatives and make recommendations for ongoing system-wide HR process improvements.
*        Advise management concerning the performance management process, including performance reviews, performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions and compensation reviews.
*        Conduct new employee orientation programs and work with team leaders to facilitate on-boarding training and activities.
*        Analyze turnover/exit interview data to proactively identify trends.
*        Administer all benefits and compensation plans.
Effectively utilize outside resources in order to monitor relevant issues, laws and regulations.
Desired Skills and Experience

*        High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
Demonstrated ability to translate business acumen to HR strategies.

*        Knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint is required.
*        Previous experience with ADP Workforce Now is strongly preferred.
*        Ability to manage time and prioritize work.
*        BA/BS degree required. PHR/SHPR strongly preferred.
*        Minimum 5 years of experience in a generalist HR role, with increasing levels of responsibility.

Senior Human Resources Benefit and Retirement Plan Associate [JenSei]

The Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore has an immediate opening for a Senior Human Resources Benefit and Retirement Plan Associate. This is a full-time position that will provide professional and generalist support to the Human Resources Department focusing specifically on all aspects of benefit and retirement plan administration. Candidate will be responsible for HRIS administration, benefit billing, new hire benefit orientation, annual open enrollment, retirement plan administration and HRIS reporting.  Good communication, public speaking, computer and writing skills a must. Candidate must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or related plus a minimum of three to five years of experience in benefit administration and human resources. Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now is preferred.

Human Resources Associate [JenSei]

The Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore has an immediate opening for a Human Resources Associate. This is a full-time position that will provide professional and administrative support to the Human Resources Department. Candidate will be responsible for personnel file management and compliance, HRIS entries and reporting, management of background and motor vehicle check program, assistance with recruitment and onboarding, benefit and retirement plan administration support, administration of unemployment requests and billing, wellness program assistance and will provide customer service support for the department.  Good communication, computer and writing skills a must. Candidate must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or related plus a minimum of two to three years of experience in human resources. Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now is preferred.
