Subject: Job opportunity in employment testing for students
 
Dear Dr. Mitchell, 
 
The New York City Department of Citywide Administrative Services, Division
of Citywide Personnel Services, is hiring testing professionals to develop
and administer civil service examinations.  Duties will include:  conducting
field observations and interviews to identify the essential functions of job
titles, creating and administering job analysis questionnaires, analyzing
questionnaire data to create test plans, and developing, administering and
rating tests for employment and promotion in a variety of NYC government
agencies.  
 
Applicants must have excellent English communication skills and have a
strong desire to work with diverse groups of people to creatively develop
exams.  The position of Tests and Measurement Specialist requires a Master's
degree in psychology or a related field with 12 credits in behavioral
assessment courses, including tests and measurement, statistics, research
and personnel psychology.
 
This is a full-time position with a salary of $39,155 for a 35 hour work
