Subject: Student Intern Opportunity at U.S. Customs and Border Protection

Tom:
Greetings! Hope you are doing well?
I wanted to let you know that once again U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has a Student Internship opening in our Personnel Research and Assessment Division. I appreciate all of your support in the past in letting your best students know about this opportunity!

Please forward the link below to any Industrial/Organizational graduate students who might be interested in this exciting opportunity. Upon successful completion of the internship, candidates can be noncompetitively converted to a permanent position within our group.

Our group specializes in personnel selection and supports the assessments used to hire and promote CBP employees. We handle all of the work in-house which gives the student intern the opportunity to get hands on experience in a broad range of areas. I have provided a list of some of our recent projects below.

We are looking for students with strong analytical and skills and a desire to learn.

Below is the HYPERlink to view the JOA on USAjobs:
https://www.usajobs.gov/GetJob/ViewDetails/435222900/

* Development of alternate predictors for validation research (e.g., short-term memory tests, new biographical data items, innovative personality testing, etc.).

*        Creation of award-winning innovative assessments (e.g., Video-Based Tests,

Multiple-Choice In-baskets, Logic-Based Measurement, etc.).

* Conducting workforce planning research and analysis (e.g., requirement and

gap identification, succession planning, diversity management, skills assessments, etc.).
