Human Resources Associate II

Office of Human Resources

 

Towson University is accepting applications for a Human Resources
Associate II in the Office of Human Resources. Reporting to the
Operations Administrator, this position will provide specialized
administrative support and assistance in the daily operations and
processing of personnel transactions including but not limited to,
employment, classification and compensation personnel actions following
Towson University, University System of Maryland, State of Maryland, and
Federal practices and policies. 

 

Because of the time constraints inherent in the performance of this
position, the candidate of choice will have the following professional
attributes: extensive knowledge of PeopleSoft; organizational,
communication, and customer service skills; flexibility; dependability;
and ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, solve problems, pay
attention to detail, and perform mathematical computations.

 

Responsibilities: Utilize People Soft and other software programs to
process personnel actions for faculty and staff; maintain and update
records, files and databases; respond to internal and external customer
inquires; assist with I-9 administration, new hire sessions, front desk
coverage, and report reconciliation and database maintenance; and
participate as a team member of Operations Unit performing other duties
as may be assigned.  

 

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent, 4 years of clerical
experience, 3 years of which must have been in the application of human
resource policies and procedures; and demonstrated attention to detail,
ability to record and disseminate information, and to work in a
time-sensitive environment. A Criminal Background Investigation is
required for the hired candidate and the results may impact employment.

 

Salary:  $32,271 annually.  Applicants with TU or USM service may
receive salary credit. The position is contingent on funds being
available at time of hire.

 

Benefits:  Full University benefits include 10 days of annual leave, up
to 14 holidays, personal and sick days; tuition remission; and excellent
health, life, and retirement plans.
